They can sometimes be unjust on returns and refunds.Ī couple of years ago I bought a defective monitor there. Best Buy has an extended return policy during Christmas till 1/15/15 but they have no others in stock to replace it with and because of my handicap which severely limits my mobility, I don't know when I will be well enough to to make the trip to return it for replacement. Of course ASUS will honor it's warranty and repair it, but that would mean being without a working PC for who knows how long. It is abundantly clear that my GTX Card is a total fail and the PC has to be returned.Īs I said, I read several posts on various forums of peeps reporting the exact same thing. I have spent over an hour with on line ASUS Support and Nvidia Support. The ROG GR20 i's an extremely compact PC and extremely tightly packed with an unusual component layout, that's probably why. A Gaming Rig you can't open without voiding the warranty. It's one on the major complaints about the ROG gaming series. The website and official ASUS videos makes it VERY clear that if you open the case the ASUS Warranty is voided. I am now a member of the unlucky group." :-( Shame on me for ignoring the GTX 760 issues reported. Is there some setting in Windows 8.1 that needs to be changed that can fix this? If you open the case for any reason, even just to blow dust off the fans, that will void your ASUS Warranty.

I'd install a replacement card myself, but that would void what is apparently a much needed ASUS Warranty.

I have installed the latest Nvidia driver and the GTX 760 shows in my Device Manager with the Nvidia Driver installed and reportedly "working"ĭOES ASUS TEST THESE MACHINES BEFORE THEY SHIP THEM I can only use my ROG with the onboard Intel GPU which is useless for gaming. Installed the latest Nvidia driver and guess what? My GTX 760 is dead on arrival. Well, despite those reports I bought one. There are several reports all over the net in various forums and customer reviews of ASUS ROG Nvidia Card problems and failures, particularly the GTX 760."

A week ago I posted in reply on a YouTube video to someone who was having serious problems with his new ROG:"Sorry to hear of your issues with your new ROG, but you are not alone.
